Description
Using a combination of selected electrical properties and surface temperature of the monitored surface are simultaneously measured, and surface conditions (dry, wet, or icy) are determined by a logic circuit.  The monitoring probe is a two electrode probe which is customized for the desired application (see Figures 1 and 2).
The probe is a part of the monitored surface.  It is glued or bolted to the surface and connected with a short cable to the electronic monitor (see Figure 3).
The normal signal output is a standard voltage (0 to 5 V) or current (4 to 20 mA) output which can be connected to a recorder (see Figure 4) and a three relay output for alarms and signal lights.  Digital output is provided on request.
